NUR means light. The name comes from Qur'an 2:257, where Allah brings the believers out of darkness into light.
NUR Media was founded by Abdul Rehman Shaikh, a video editor and creative director with more than six years of experience editing Islamic educational, dawah and fundraising video, including a Ramadan series every year since 2023.
Abdul Rehman on LinkedInThe team works from an office in Kohsar, Latifabad, Hyderabad. Our hours overlap with UK mornings, so calls and quick changes happen the same day.
Every week, Islamic organisations record hours of beneficial knowledge. Most of it stays in the archive. We turn it into reels people finish, posters people save and a plan you can follow, with no music, ever.
Our standards
Every project follows a written Sharia policy
You shouldn't have to check our work for music or inappropriate images. These rules apply to every editor and every file.
- No music
Voice, natural sound or vocal-only nasheeds that we have checked for instruments. That includes stock clips and your old footage.
- Modest visuals
Modest dress and respectful framing. We ask whether you want faces shown, and follow your answer on every piece.
- Sacred text checked
Qur'an verses, hadith and Arabic are checked by a second person before anything is delivered.
- Licensed assets
Fonts, stock footage and images are licensed through our own accounts.
